Nina plays the guitar and fun baby laughs

Here are some recent video clips of Nina at 13 months old. She bonded
with a new friend, Trevor who taught her how to play guitar. She loved
it and couldn't get enough! The other video is her laughing over the
dogs at Devin and Brittany's house. She was absolutely hysterical with
laughter every time they did anything that night. Here is a short
snippet of her laugh to brighten everyone's day!

Seattle Trip

We had a great time visitig Uncle Devin and Auntie Brittany in Seattle. Nina loved playing with the dogs and seeing all the sites. We went to the zoo for the first time also and she saw elephants, bats and many other animals. It was a very fun trip...thanks Devin and Brittany for the hospitality and sharing your house with a baby for the weekend.

The tradition continues

Nina has now figured out how to climb in and out of her red chair and it is her favorite thing to do. This chair was used by my grandpa, my dad, my uncle, me and now Nina. All the kids who visit go right for it as well. It is quite a magical chair. Nina is also standing by herself for a few seconds at a time. I'm sure she will be walking soon....look out mommy's sanity!

Nina goes to the Fair...

Nina had a great time with her two trips to the fair. We went once with Naomi and her family and once with Katie and Matt. She had her first ice cream cone (with help from mom) and rode the train. The second time, she rode a pony but reached out for people to take her off the whole way around the track. This is the only picture where she isn't crying or trying to reach out to us. Poor kiddo! Anyway, she loved the splash dogs exhibit and called out "dog, dog" "go, go" every time the dogs jumped in the water. She sure is a dog lover but apparently not a fan of horses or farm animals quite yet (the petting zoo was also not her favorite place). She loved the fair food though and enjoyed some fries and funnel cake.

Smith River...First camping trip!

Nina went to the annual Smith River camping trip for the first time and had a blast. She loved hannging out with all of the people around the campfire and was very happy about all the snacking and meals that go along with camping. She wasn't too keen on the cold river water but did put her toes in. She looked cute though in her surfer swimsuit with her baby Keen shoes. Yes, we got suckered into buying her expensive baby shoes but she loved them and was able to stand up by herself when wearing them so they were worth it:) Nina also loved all the dogs at Smith River and managed to get poison oak by petting them. Her first camping war wounds;) It was a great trip and we can't wait for next year.

Fun in Bend, Oregon

We went on a trip to visit Andrew, Natasha and Anya in Oregon. Nina and Anya are only 6 days apart and are about the same size so they really enjoyed playing with each other and taking each other's toys. Here is a picture of them showing off their matching outfits. Nina also enjoyed lounging at the pool and enjoying one of the last bottles before she moved to only having sippy cups. She is turning into a toddler and not a baby anymore:(
