Mother's day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there! This was Kristy's first mother's day and Nina helped both her and grandma celebrate by assisting in the present opening. Nate cooked a fantastic breakfast of crepes, sausages, french toast and mimosas. What a great gift for mamas! We then went to visit both great-grandma's and had a very nice day. Nina took a nap on Great-grandma Rose's bed and was quite the social bug after that.

Howdy partner and pool party

Nina had a great time at the Apple Blossom Festival this weekend. The theme was Wild West and she loved wearing my princess cowboy hat. She rode on my back for the parade and even tried some pancakes at the all you can eat breakfast. She loved those of course! The next day we had a pool party with Max and she would have stayed in the water all day if we let her. Sasha also wanted to join in the fun and didn't understand why she couldn't play with all the bath toys. Poor Sasha!
Aloha!

Nina had her first trip to the Big Island of Hawaii and all of us had a blast! Nate's parents came for a few days and we were able to snorkel with sea turtles and kayak with spinner dolphins. Wow! Nina loved ths sand and tried to eat quite a bit of it. She also loved my sunglasses and is quite the ham with the camera. One of her favorite things was a fish mobile that was hanging from the ceiling in the house we rented. She would point to it and say "ish" for fish. We now have one for her room and she is so excited! What an amazing trip...
Nina the doctor

Nina and I had a great time hanging out with our friend Vallena (Gma Val as we call her). We went to Kidspot in Sebastopol and Nina loved to play with the stethoscope. Maybe she has found her calling...who knows?! We also enjoyed having ice cream and learning all about the great kids books that are out there. It was a great day!
Nina's first tea party

Here is Nina playing with Cybele a few days before Cybele's tea party. Cybele is a great helper with Nina and Nina loves to hang out with her an Nora. The tea party was a blast and Nora and her friend were the assistants and helped with every part of the event. My old china set came out of the attic and was a big hit with the girls. Nina liked sitting with the big kids and eating her Cheerios. She also loved the balloons. Here is Nina with Nora in her tea party outfit.
