Nina's first Christmas

Nina had a great first Christmas and of course made out well with all the presents. Her favorite part was the paper and the ribbons! Here she is trying out her new hat with Nate. What a pair!

Grandpa Craig and Nina

Here is Grandpa Craig entertaining Nina so we can all eat dinner. She was so happy sitting on his lap and playing with her toys. Last weekend, Grandma Pat and Grandpa Craig watched Nina overnight so Nate and I could have a break in Bodega. It was so nice that she was happy and slept well, even in a new place!

Thanksgiving...late post:)

We had so much fun at Thanksgiving with all of Nate's family and extended family. As always, Grandma Pat was a fantastic host. All of the cousins helped take care of Nina and fought over whose turn it was to push the stroller. We are lucky to have such great family! Here is Nina with great-grandmas Rose and Bev.

Comfort food party

We had a fun time visiting with all of our friends the weekend before Thanksgiving and training our stomachs for Turkey day. Everyone brought their favorite comfort food dish and we all ate until we were stuffed. It is a fun new tradition that we plan to continue next year. Here is Nina with Deborah's daughter, Naomi, who was a great help taking care of the little ones and playing with Sasha.

Exersaucer woman!

This is Nina trying out her new exersaucer, an early X-mas present from Nana and Gramps. She loved it and was so proud of her new skills. She is also at the perfect level to get kisses from the dog, another bonus (at least in her book).

Merry Christmas early!

Here is the outfit Nina wore (courtesy of Katie and Caroline) to the tree lighting ceremony the other day. It was hysterical and I am still picking glitter out of her hair!

Nina rice cereal!

Here is Nina with her first serving of rice cereal. She has quickly graduated to yams and peas. This woman is serious about her food. She loves the spoon and tries to feed herself. Between her and the dog, we are lucky any food makes it to the mouth! She is now holding her own bottle all the time now too so that is nice and makes it easy to multi task.

The three musketeers

Here is Nina with her dad and her trusty steed Sasha, hanging out on the bed. This is what they do when mom is not home!

Mommy Dates...

Here is Nina snuggled up with my friend Deborah on one of our weekly mom dates. This is how I keep my sanity and have some adults to talk to. I am so lucky to have such great mom friends to hang out with and drink lots of coffee. I am racking up the stamps at the local coffee store!

More Halloween!

Here is a cute picture from our party of Shugri and her family ready to go trick or treating. Her daughter Sabina and Nina are the same age so we all hang out at mommy group. We had lots of fun taking the kids trick or treating and checking out all the "haunted houses". Nina had already fallen asleep at this point but Sabina was still going strong!

Happy Halloween!

Nina was an M & M for Halloween. Grandma Pat made her outfit and it was really cute! Here is a picture of her with Grandma at our Halloween party. We also had a great time earlier in the day with our mommy group and all the babies at Mary's Pizza. It was fun to finally have someone to take trick or treating although we only went to neighbor's houses this time!

Wisconsin party!

We also had so much fun seeing all the cousins, great aunts and uncles in Wisconsin. It was an 80 degree October day which is really unusual for that time of year so we were able to go out on Kyle's boat and then come back to an awesome midwestern dinner complete with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and casseroles. Here is Reegan with a very sleepy baby. Nina loved all the attention and was happy to hang out with everyone while mom and dad went out on the boat (the water was a little rough for baby). Can't wait to see everyone again, she'll probably be walking next time!

More Michigan fun...

Here is a picture with Nardos (my cousin Steven's wife) at my godmother's house. Steve and Nardos have twin girls that we met for the first time. It was so nice to see my godmothee Ellen and her husband John again as well as have dinner with Steve. We were treated to a wonderful dinner and fantastic home cooked breakfast, not to memtion the great fall colors in the Grand Rapids area. Can't wait to see you all again!

Nana and Gramps

Here is Nina with Nana and Gramps in Michigan. We had so much fun visiting and Nina got so much attention that it was hard to compete when we got home. Nina practiced her Teradactyl skills (happy shreiking) the whole trip. It was so fun to see her with all of the family.
