Nina Talks!

Our little Nina is quite the little talker. This is a video from a few weeks ago when she was just starting to find her voice. Now she has definitely found it and having a blast experimenting. She is a social butterfly (go figure:)

Nina the little pumpkin

Nina will be three months old this week and she is a very happy and smily baby. She did a belly laugh last week, once with mom and then when dad did a beat box/rap with her. She really loves that! She is also grabbing her toys now and pulled my glasses off yesterday. She is able to roll from her tummy to her back and the other day turned herself horizontal from vertical in her crib. She is definitely a mover and a shaker. We had a fun week with a shower from the gals at Jazzercise and a nice afternoon with Grandma Pat. Today is our 4 year wedding anniversary so she will be spending the evening with Grandma so we can go to the movies and dinner. This picture is of Nina in her pumpkin hat from Grandma Pat and Grandpa Craig, the shirt is from Uncle Devin and Aunt Brittany and the shoes were bought by Grandma Pat back in April before we even knew of our little Nina. It is amazing that the whole thing matches!

It is hard to believe that Nina is already 2 months old. She is growing so much and was 11 pounds 5.8 ounces at her 2 month doctor appointment. A lot has happened since the last posting. She is now smiling all the time (this started at 3 weeks) and is starting to be more interested in toys. She loves her bouncy seat and her swing. She also met her Grandma Diane and Grandpa Jim and gave them lots of baby smiles and kisses. On August 11, we had a welcome ceremony to officially celebrate Nina coming into our family. It was very fun and touching. Many people contributed to make the ceremony special and meaningful for all of us. We also had a great time at the baby shower the next day that Grandma Pat, Anne and Catherine put on for us. Nina of course slept through the whole thing. We also were lucky enough that she was able to be at my masters' degree graduation ceremony. There were seven babies born in my class over the last 2 years so it was fun to have her there to celebrate as one of the gang. We also had a lot of fun visiting with Cindy, Roger and Lillian in San Jose and they were wonderful hosts and dog sitters for the weekend. Nina loved to have another baby friend to play with. It has been a fantastic couple of months and we feel very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We are always posting new pictures on our website so check out the link to see how she has grown! Click here to view photos.
